Whale sharks are not whales but in fact the largest fish in our ocean. They grow so large by filter-feeding all the tiniest things. Weirdly, they have small dermal denticles that look like tiny teeth on their eyes instead of eye lids - for protection and not for biting!
These gentle giants roam Sri Lankan waters and are identifiable by their size and beautiful spot patterns.
